15-03-2011 Roberts Europe on track to meet sustainability targets
Maastricht-Airport – For the second year in a row, Roberts Europe has accomplished a higher CO2 reduction in 2010 than the initially planned 4% per loaded kilometre.
After having lowered the yearly emission in 2009 by 5,1%, Roberts Europe continued with another 4,4% less CO2 per loaded kilometre for 2010 and stays on track to meet its sustainability targets. The efforts put into achieving 20% reduction in a period of 5 years has been realized for 48% in two years already.
The reduction represents the decrease of carbon dioxide from 438 to 419 grams per loaded kilometre, which has been realized by increasing the load-factor in comparison with the available freight capacity.
The revenue development in 2010 has significantly boosted the total volume of driven kilometres by 62%.
